This comprehensive Landscape Master Plan for Saratoga High School addresses more than forty years of wear and two new major campus construction projects. Students, faculty and staff participated in the goal-setting process for the plan which is, at once, intelligent, durable, cost effective, useful, and exciting creating interesting, beautiful, and lively elements in the landscape. Foremost among the design priorities were improved wayfinding, improved sense of arrival, renewal of unhealthy plant materials, an enhanced awareness of regional context, creation of educational "curriculum landscape" features, streamlined maintenance and adaptability for future campus construction projects.
